I am looking to buy some reusable grocery bags. I have some that I've had forever from Fred Meyer, and they are just perfect. They are the ones that are made of plastic, but a woven material. I work at a care home as a care aide for seniors, we have about 35 residents that actually need help, the rest can care for themselves in most aspects. Of these 35 residents, about 15 of them need help with personal care. I was just wondering if anyone uses fabric bags at the bulk bins in places like whole foods and how well you think that works or doesn't work. What you like about it or if you get bothered by the workers or people checking you out for using them. And did you make them and if so out of what or did you buy them.

i always forget to bring my reusable bags to the store with me. i stopped feeling guilty about it when i realized i could uses these bags as garbage bags instead. curious, is there a fault in this?

A couple of weeks ago, I ordered some cloth produce bags from reusablebags.com. I only ordered 3 small bags, so I figured since they can be folded flat, they would come in an envelope. I got the package on Thursday, and one of the first things that struck me was how much excess packaging there was.
